With 3 billion VND at the beginning of establishment, Sacombank increased its chartered capital to 675.6 billion VND at the end of August 2004 and has become the largest commercial joint-stock bank in Vietnam.

As a retail bank, Sacombank has been paying special attention on diversified personal banking services. Moreover, we are deemed successful in financing SMEs.

In 2002, Sacombank was the first bank in Vietnam to receive the investment from IFC – an arm of the World Bank. Holding 10% of Sacombank’s equity, IFC became the second major foreign shareholder, after the Dragon Financial Holdings – United Kingdom.
