In execution of Decision 64/2005/Q?-TTg, the Ministry of Finance is now directing the task of re-structuring Pacific Airlines in its holdings, among which the State retains the governing role (over 50%), with participation in the ownership and management of strategic foreign shareholders (a maximum of 30%) and domestic shareholders, just as shareholders who work within the company.

Pacific Airlines is currently developing domestic and international routes, including: 7 daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi; at least one daily flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, as well as between Hanoi and Danang; and 10-14 flights per week between Ho Chi Minh City and Taiwan (going to two principal cities - Taipei and Kaohsiung).

For the strategic market, Pacific Airlines has selected a network of domestic and international flight routes within the ASEAN countries, including several flights to Northeast Asia (Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan) and South Asia (India) with of six hours flight-time from Vietnam, with a frequency of at least one flight per day along each route.

Pacific Airlines’ fleet now has two kinds of modern aircraft: Airbus A320-200 and Boeing B737-400 aircraft with an all-economy class configuration at 150-170 seats.

Although First Class and Business Class seats are not available on Pacific Airlines’ aircraft class configuration, whenever passengers have specific requirement, Pacific Airlines has arranged business class lounge and Pacific Airlines also has special services to provide for VIPs and CIP.

Unlike traditional airlines and low-cost carriers, Pacific Airlines has chosen the model of a “value-based airline,” providing tickets at a cost of 10-25% lower than other airlines operating the same routes; while still maintaining the basic services of other traditional airlines such as: free food and drink on flights 2 hours or longer; connecting flights within Pacific Airlines’ flight route network and with flights of other airlines to increase passengers’ choice of itinerary; reserved seats, tickets sold through global distribution…. System like Abacus, Galileo, Amadeus). In particular, with its line of “A+” products, Pacific Airlines promotes its combination of its products and services with those of partners to create a package products, appealing in both content and prices (like “A+H”, incorporating Air Tickets and 3-, 4-, or 5-star Hotels reservations in Vietnam’s major cities).

Pacific Airlines has been and continues to be a pioneer in Vietnam for its numerous customer service programs: telephone reservations 24/24 every day of the week, free ticket delivery to one’s own home; free transportation of passengers between the center of Hanoi and Noi Bai airport by high-quality tourist vans; gifts given to all child passengers according to age; discounted tickets for beneficiaries of social welfare (Vietnam’s hero parents; elderly revolutionary cadres; wounded soldiers; relatives and family members of martyrs; victims of Agent Orange; senior citizens; adolescents…); serving and compensating for late or cancelled flights. A convenient flight schedule and on - time flights performance are the very strengths that have made Pacific Airlines stand out, recognized and appreciated by passengers throughout the country and abroad.

The motive of Pacific Airlines is ‘everything for the benefit of the passenger.’ All of passengers’ reasonable demands and requirements in relation to safety, on-time flights, generous services, cordiality and professionalism when making flight reservations, buying tickets, checking at the airport, and being served during and after the flight are all vigorously striven to be met by the staff of Pacific Airlines.
