Dentsu Vietnam Ltd, a 100 per cent Japanese advertising firm, made its official debut last week following Ho Chi Minh City authorities' approval last December to permit it to upgrade its representative office into a fully-fledged company.

The establishment of Dentsu Vietnam Ltd is a requisite to maintain the strong growth of Vietnam's advertising market and meet the increasing demand from its clients

Dentsu, which is licensed to operate for 25 years with an initial capital of $900,000, will provide market research and analysis, as well as design and production services for industrial and consumer products. It will also prepare marketing campaigns and supervise advertisement production.

Dentsu Vietnam - the newest member of Dentsu Inc's network of 10 companies in Asia - will initially focus on Japanese firms operating in Vietnam in the automobile and information technology industries.
