In order to establish a feed production and exportation base in the Southeast Asian region, CJ obtained an investment permit in November 1999, and in February 2000 established the local corporation of CJ Vina Agri in Long-an, a place Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city.

The construction of CJ Vina Agri, a factory manufacturing mixed feed for animals, was completed in March 2001. Producing over 40 varieties of commercial mixed feed products for a total of 120,000 tons per year, CJ Vina Agri is strengthening its position in the feed market of Vietnam.

Also, as the first foreign-based feed company, CJ Vina Agri commenced the feed business for prawns and fish aquaculture at 30,000 tons per year in 2003.

Since the construction of a 2nd factory in the Northern Hanoi region in December 2005, CJ Vina Agri has been expanding its business throughout all of Vietnam.
