The company performs the following main tasks:
- aerial photography and photo processing.
- Developing films anh aerial photos for the purpose of producing topographic and cadastral mapping.
-  Supplying the semi and final products made from aerial photos and films.
- Mapping and adjusting topographic and cadastral maps at various scales by using aerial photogrammetry.
- Producing maps for planning, technical designing, implementation and management of civil engineering works, industry, transportatio, ect.
- To establish the coordinate-elevation control network at defferent scales.
- Conducting aplied researches, transfer of tchnology and provision of services in servey, and mapping by using aerial photography.
- Providing technical training for workers and technicians in topographic and cadastral servey and mapping by using aerial Photo – Topography.

- Navigation and determination of projection centers by using the Grobal positioning System technology (GPS)
- Black and white and color film developing and processing system – COLEX – TC and SCANATRON

FIELD SURVEY
The Aerial photo – Topography company has a large number of engineers, technicians and workers with considerable expertise and experiences in providing:

- Electronic Total Station.
- Hydro – measurement (using echo–sounder )
- Data processing
- Measurement of control network
- Elevation survey
- Topographic and cadastral survey and mapping.
- Site survey with digital products of high quality at international standards.

The Aerial Photo – Topography company is now implementing to set up Geographic Information and land Information Systems that will include an aerial photo database, topographic maps and cadastral maps. when complete, this GIS/LIS will be able to update and adjust changes in land and territoy management, natural resourses inventory and the management and protection environment.

PROJECTS:
With over 800 technicians and workers currently employed ( of whom, there are over 200 engineers, masters of Science and doctors), many key state projects have been successfully completed as follows:
- Topographic and cadastral maps at 1:100,000 and 1:25,000 scales.
- Topographic map at 1:50,000 scale covering the whole country.
- Survey and topographic mapping at 1:2000 – 1:5000 scale covering the Red river, Mekong River and big cities.
- Survey cadastral control networks and maps at 1:2000 – 1:5000 scales for Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can tho, Dong Nai, quang Ninh, Kien Giang, Cao Bang ect.
- Servey and topographic mapping of the border between Viet Nam and China, Viet Nam and Lao ect.
- Establishing a national hydrometereology elevation network.
- Establishing a database for data storage, management of maps and cadastral boundary records.
- Hydro – electric station in the Black River – Hoa Binh, in Ham Thuan, TaPu ect.
